Brian Harrison claims credit for ending vehicle registration for undocumented immigrants in Texas

Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, posted on his social media account on February 12, 2026, that he played a key role in stopping the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) from allowing undocumented immigrants to register vehicles in Texas.

In one post made at 23:49 UTC, Harrison stated: “Proud to have forced the DMV to stop allowing illegal aliens register vehicles in Texas!

Insane this was happening for so many years.

Shortly after, at 23:52 UTC, Harrison followed up with another message highlighting his previous efforts and criticizing other politicians: “TBT to when I exposed that the Texas government was facilitating illegal immigration by allowing ILLEGAL ALIENS to register vehicles.

Proud to have forced an end to that insanity!!

While most politicians just talk… I get RESULTS! https://t.co/WowXH6z7yC

Earlier in the day, at 16:08 UTC, Harrison also posted a tweet containing only a laughing emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/YZjVvheERU”

Harrison was elected to the Texas State House in 2021 after replacing former state representative Jake Ellzey. He has positioned himself as an advocate for stricter enforcement of state laws regarding undocumented immigrants and frequently uses social media platforms to communicate his policy positions.
