Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, used his social media platform on December 6, 2025, to express strong opposition to property taxes in Texas.

In an early morning post at 3:37 a.m., Harrison wrote, “Madness… we must make Texas FREE again!! ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES!!” Later that morning at 4:35 a.m., he posted another message simply stating, “Madness.”

By the afternoon, Harrison elaborated further on his concerns about property taxes and state governance. At 2:10 p.m., he stated, “Madness. Property taxes are completely out of control because of failures of the Austin swamp. They should be dealt with NOW… not two years from now!”

Harrison has served in the Texas State House since winning a special election in 2021 to replace Jake Ellzey. As a legislator, he has been vocal about issues related to taxation and government policy.
