Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, has recently used his social media platform to call for action against Gene Wu, Chair of the House Democratic Caucus. In a series of posts on February 9 and 10, Harrison criticized Wu’s leadership roles and demanded his removal from key positions.

On February 9, Harrison announced an upcoming appearance with Jenna Ellis, stating: “Joining @realJennaEllis at 7:40am CT to discuss. Tune in! https://t.co/UC4oVtBMxt”.

Later that day, he intensified his remarks regarding Wu: “The Gene Wu scandal is far worse than anyone knows. Gene Wu is the Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, helped elect the House Speaker, and was rewarded with leadership positions. He must be stripped of his power immediately! I discussed with @realJennaEllis … listen! https://t.co/OI6Euy33LX”.

On February 10, Harrison reiterated his stance by posting: ” Gene Wu must be stripped of his House leadership positions and committee assignments. This radical Democrat should never have been given powerful leadership positions or assignments in the Texas House, and they must be removed. Full letter to Speaker Burrows: Speaker https://t.co/SIYF03IUfV”.

Harrison’s comments come as part of ongoing political tensions within the Texas legislature. Since being elected in 2021 to replace Jake Ellzey as representative for Texas’s 10th House district, Harrison has taken strong public stances on legislative matters involving both parties.
