Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, has reiterated his opposition to property taxes in a series of social media posts on March 29, 2026.
In his first post at 20:37 UTC, Harrison criticized both major political parties in Texas for their approach to property taxes. He wrote, “You know the real reason the Texas government has not eliminated (or even really cut) your property taxes??… Because TxLege Democrats – AND REPUBLICANS – are addicted to your money! I will not stop fighting to cut spending… And… ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES!!!!!”
Later that evening at 20:51 UTC, Harrison further argued that property ownership in Texas is undermined by current tax policies. He stated, “In Texas, the government owns your home… and everyone else’s home. In Texas, there are exactly ZERO true homeowners. That’s the oppose of freedom. ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES!”
At 22:34 UTC on the same day, Harrison posted links without additional commentary: “https://t.co/CCSFOOo2iH https://t.co/uinsDybD12”.
Harrison was elected to represent Texas’ 10th House district in 2021 after Jake Ellzey vacated the seat.
