Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, voiced concerns on social media about the direction of state government and recent legislative developments in Texas.
On September 5, 2025, Harrison posted a critique of current trends in Texas governance. He wrote, “Texas government should be getting smaller. It’s getting bigger. Property taxes should be going down. They’re going up. Liberty should be increasing. It’s decreasing. Texans deserve better.”
Later that day, Harrison referenced his involvement in legislative action by stating, “Proud to have helped stop this terrible bill.” The post did not specify which bill he was referring to.
In another post on September 5, Harrison highlighted remarks from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at an event hosted by SFC Network. Quoting DeSantis, Harrison wrote, “‘Florida was a competitive, toss up state for decades… not anymore… BOLD CONSERVATIVE POLICIES WORK!’ – America’s Governor @RonDeSantis right now at @SFC_Network Summit. Amen!”
Harrison was elected to the Texas State House in 2021 after succeeding Jake Ellzey as representative for the state’s 10th House district.
