Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas House representing the 10th district, shared updates and commentary on legislative actions and his political future in a series of posts on September 2, 2025.

In his first post, Harrison criticized the Texas House for its handling of quorum-breaking Democrats. On September 2, he wrote: “The Texas House has still not even debated a single bill or resolution to punish the Democrats who broke quorum. Today is pure theater.”

Later that day, Harrison commented on the passage of HB18 and reiterated his stance regarding consequences for Democratic lawmakers. He stated: “HB18 just passed. Not one Democrat who broke quorum will be punished in any way for having broke quorum by it. Trying to keep you informed… and get ahead of the establishment gaslighting that’s about to come your way. No Democrat who left has been or will be punished.”

In another update posted on September 2, Harrison announced his reelection campaign and highlighted an endorsement from former President Donald Trump. He wrote: “Excited to announce my reelection for the Texas House with the ‘Complete and Total Endorsement’ from President Trump! It’s been my privilege to fight for the freedoms of everyone in Ellis County and all Texans, and I’m honored that President @realDonaldTrump told me in person”.

Harrison was elected to represent Texas’s 10th House district in 2021 after Jake Ellzey vacated the seat.
