Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, has recently used his social media platform to voice strong opinions on state policy and legislative decisions.
On February 6, 2026, Harrison posted a call to “ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES!” On February 8, he criticized the state’s involvement in environmental initiatives and legislative actions: “FACT: The Texas government has been funding the GREEN NEW DEAL SCAM for many years. Absolutely pathetic that only 11 Republicans had the courage to vote against this liberal corporate welfare trainwreck (HB5) in 2023.” Later that day, Harrison drew attention to a committee appointment by stating, “Reminder: this radical DEMOCRAT was appointed to Vice Chair the Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence.”
Harrison began serving in the Texas House after winning election in 2021, succeeding Jake Ellzey. As a Republican legislator, he has frequently taken public stances on fiscal and legislative matters.
