Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district, shared a series of posts on September 2, 2025, addressing legislative developments and property tax policy in Texas.
In his first post, Harrison commented on ongoing discussions in the Texas House regarding disciplinary measures for Democratic lawmakers who previously broke quorum. He stated on September 2, 2025: “The Texas House is now debating a bill to ‘punish the quorum breaking Democrats’… That will punish exactly ZERO quorum breaking Democrats.”
Later that day, Harrison addressed Senate Bill 10 (SB10), criticizing its effectiveness concerning property taxes. On September 2, 2025, he wrote: “Fact: SB10 is not a bill that will cut even one single person’s property tax bill. Even if it were amended to apply equally to all cities and counties, it would still not cut a single property tax bill. All it MIGHT do… is reduce the rate of property tax GROWTH. Pathetic.”
Harrison also posted links without additional commentary later that evening on September 2, 2025: “https://t.co/iQlnobokhj https://t.co/8TEbmrOlZI”
Harrison was elected to the Texas State House in 2021 following Jake Ellzey’s departure from the seat.
