Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, used his Twitter account to express criticism of political processes and figures in late April 2026.

On April 29, Harrison posted: “The people > the swamp.”

Continuing his commentary on April 30, he wrote: “Never ceases to amaze me how fast and efficiently the swamp seduces and corrupts good people.”

Later that same day, Harrison questioned actions within his own party. He stated: “True… our “Republican” Speaker helped elevate Talarico to national prominence after Talarico voted for and helped Burrows become Speaker. Why aren’t all TxLege Republicans calling this out? Texans, are you ok with a Talarico-endorsed “Republican” Speaker??”

Harrison was elected to office in 2021 following Jake Ellzey’s departure from the seat. As a member of the Texas House of Representatives, he has frequently voiced concerns about internal party dynamics and legislative leadership.
