Brian Harrison, a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2021 representing the 10th House district, has recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing issues related to state governance and policy.

On April 13, 2026, Harrison criticized Democratic lawmakers for breaking quorum without facing consequences. He wrote: “252 days since Democrats broke quorum:

– seats vacated: 0

– arrests: 0

– chair/vice-chairmanships taken away: 0

– fines they’ll be forced to pay: 0

– seniority lost: 0

– committees removed: 0

– offices defunded: 0

– parking spots taken: 0

– GOP Caucus votes to NOT”.

Later that day, on April 13, Harrison expressed concern about tax policies in Texas. He stated: “Outrageous!… The Texas government is giving preferential tax treatment to FOREIGN companies and workers.

While your property taxes go UP.

Betrayal.”

On April 15, Harrison addressed language requirements for driving exams in Texas. He wrote: “More betrayal: the Texas government requires DRIVING EXAMS BE OFFERED… IN SPANISH!!

I will file legislation to require driving exams be administered in ENGLISH ONLY!

Can’t believe this has to be done.”

Harrison succeeded Jake Ellzey as representative of the state’s 10th House district after being elected in a special election held in September of 2021.
