Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, has recently used his social media platform to comment on state government priorities and legislative developments.
On August 3, 2025, Harrison posted a critical statement regarding state spending priorities: “Fact: the (all “Republican”) Texas government cares more about funding Hollywood than allowing even one single Texan to own their own home.”
Later that evening, Harrison shared a more personal message reflecting on his surroundings in his district: “A beautiful evening in Ellis County. God bless the great state of Texas.” This post referenced Ellis County, which is part of the area he represents.
The following day, Harrison addressed an upcoming legislative session related to redistricting: “Update: Texas House will convene at 3pm tomorrow to vote on the new map. There is no reason this should not happen. Texas Republican leadership has all the tools they need to force a vote. This should’ve been done by now. No more delays. Not more excuses. Vote the map!” The message urged swift action from party leadership regarding a pending vote on new district maps.
Harrison was elected to represent Texas’s 10th House district in 2021 after Jake Ellzey vacated the seat. Since taking office, he has been vocal about issues such as state budget allocations and legislative procedures.
