Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, used his social media platform on March 24, 2026, to criticize actions taken by state government bodies and express dissatisfaction with both local and national party leadership.

In a post from the afternoon of March 24, Harrison wrote: “Never forget: this is what the Texas House did last session instead of eliminating your property taxes. The Texas House is CORRUPT! Btw, posts like this, where I expose their betrayal, is why the Austin uniparty hates hates me so much… But Texans deserve the TRUTH!” (March 24, 2026).

Later that evening, Harrison addressed concerns about hiring practices within Texas government agencies. He posted: ” What the hell, @teainfo?? Is it too much to ask that the Texas government stop giving huge jobs to leftists who advocate forcing taxpayers to fund DEI and unconstitutional, race based discrimination?? My office will be demanding answers. Cc: @GregAbbott_TX @HarmeetKDhillon” (March 24, 2026).

In another post on the same day, Harrison expressed frustration with members of his own party at both state and federal levels: “Voters are fed up with “Republicans” in DC and Austin that are indistinguishable from Democrats.” (March 24, 2026).

Harrison was elected to represent Texas’s 10th House district in a special election in 2021 after Jake Ellzey vacated the seat. Since then, he has positioned himself as a vocal critic of both legislative decisions made by his colleagues in Austin and broader trends within Republican politics.
