Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, took to social media on September 5, 2025, to express his views on recent legislative outcomes in Texas.
In one post, Harrison commented: “We didn’t get to the small things like ending property taxes or banning taxpayer funded lobbying… but we got the big things done… Like… Commemorating breakfast bowls. “Big wins!” (September 5, 2025).
Shortly after, he followed up with another message stating: “Another “big win” from the “most conservative session in the history of mankind!!” (September 5, 2025).
In a subsequent post later that evening, Harrison added: “Your property taxes are going up… but don’t worry… the Texas House spent your money honoring ZOROASTRIANISM this session… Another “big win!” “ (September 5, 2025).
Harrison was elected to his seat in the Texas State House in 2021 after succeeding Jake Ellzey. His recent comments reflect ongoing debates within Texas politics regarding fiscal policy and legislative priorities.
