Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, recently used his social media platform to criticize Texas leadership regarding legislative priorities and taxpayer issues.

On August 31, 2025, Harrison wrote, “And… Texas “leadership” has stopped all my (many) pieces of legislation to end this. They apparently support taxpayer funded LGBTQ indoctrination… almost as much as they support high property taxes.”

Later that day, on August 31, 2025, he continued his criticism by stating: “Turns out Texas “Republican” leaders were exactly as serious about lowering your property taxes as they were about punishing the quorum breaking Democrats.”

The following day, September 1, 2025, Harrison added: “Texans deserve a government that would never prioritize liberal Hollywood over Texas TAXPAYERS. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what we have now. Texans deserve better.”

Harrison was elected in 2021 to replace Jake Ellzey as state representative for Texas’s 10th House district.
