Brian Harrison, a State Representative from Waxahachie, Texas, recently shared his views on various political issues through a series of tweets. His comments reflect criticism of the state government and its policies.
On June 5, 2025, Harrison posted a cryptic tweet stating, “There’s not enough lipstick in all of Texas.” The remark is open to interpretation but suggests discontent with superficial solutions to deeper problems.
Later that day, Harrison referenced an article from Spectrum News 1 TX in another tweet. He criticized the recent legislative session as an “unmitigated disaster,” citing concerns over increased government size and taxation. He expressed that “Government grew, Liberty shrunk. Texans are less free. Taxes are going up,” emphasizing his dissatisfaction with the outcomes of the session.
In another tweet on June 5, 2025, Harrison addressed misconceptions about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies in Texas. He stated that contrary to popular belief, “Texas has banned DEI.” He argued that the Texas government might be one of the largest funders of DEI initiatives in America and cautioned against what he termed as “Austin uniparty gaslighting.”
