Brian Harrison, a public figure known for his political commentary, recently shared his views on the state of Texas governance through a series of tweets. His posts reflect his dissatisfaction with the current legislative session and urge action against specific legislation.
On June 2, 2025, Harrison expressed discontent as the 89th legislative session concluded. He remarked that “The 89th session (mercifully) ends today.” He criticized the expansion of government and perceived reduction in personal freedoms, stating, “Government is bigger than when it started, and we are less free.” Apologizing to Texans, he declared, “I’m sorry, Texans. I tried. You deserve better.” Concluding with a call to action, he wrote, “We must MAKE TEXAS, TEXAS AGAIN.”
Later that day, Harrison took a firm stance against Senate Bill 3 by tweeting “SB3 MUST BE VETOED.” This succinct message indicates his opposition to the bill and suggests he believes it could negatively impact Texas.
Harrison’s comments come at a time when political debates over government size and individual freedoms are particularly heated in Texas.
