Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, recently posted several messages on his X (formerly Twitter) account highlighting concerns about property tax rates in Texas.

On September 5, 2025, Harrison shared a post that included two links without additional commentary (https://t.co/e34kv08xm0 https://t.co/cg5IFT9uSY). Shortly after, he posted another set of links (https://t.co/pSgWMlxuUA https://t.co/yGh36K8nSh).

Later that day, Harrison made a direct statement regarding state tax policy: “Texas has the HIGHEST EFFECTIVE PROPERTY TAX RATE in America. Another “big win!” https://t.co/Jtvd6BgnVC” (September 5, 2025).

Harrison was elected to the Texas State House in 2021 following Jake Ellzey’s departure. As a Republican legislator for the state’s 10th House district, Harrison has often commented on fiscal issues and state policy.
