Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district since 2021, has used his social media platform to voice criticism of current state leadership and advocate for policy changes.

On April 11, 2026, Harrison stated: “The Texas government is run by a coalition of big government Democrats… and big government ‘REPUBLICANS.’ Joined @VanceGinn to discuss why I’m fighting for LESS GOVERNMENT, and MORE LIBERTY!!”

Continuing his criticism on fiscal issues, Harrison posted on April 12, 2026: “Any Texas politician not demanding a special session to start eliminating property taxes THIS YEAR is not serious about property taxes. Why are we waiting?!?”

Later that day, he added: “Democrats already select the Speaker of the Texas House.”

Harrison was elected in a special election in 2021 to fill the seat vacated by Jake Ellzey. He has positioned himself as an advocate for smaller government and lower taxes during his tenure.
