Texas state Rep. Brian Harrison, a Republican representing the 10th House district, recently used social media to comment on redistricting developments and committee appointments in the Texas Legislature.
On August 6, 2025, Harrison shared a post referencing his interview with Newsmax: “Texas state Rep. Brian Harrison, R-Waxahachie, told Newsmax on Monday that Republican leaders in the Lone Star State erred by not keeping the House in session before Democrats could flee the state in protest over a GOP congressional redistricting plan.

Harrison was elected to the Texas State House in 2021 after replacing Jake Ellzey as representative for District 10. He has been an active voice on legislative issues related to redistricting and party leadership decisions.
