Brian Harrison, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 10th district, recently used his social media platform to address issues surrounding redistricting and political strategy among Texas Republicans.
On August 6, 2025, Harrison advocated for a forceful approach in response to Democratic lawmakers’ absence from legislative proceedings. He wrote, “Time for Texas Republicans to play hardball. For every week the Democrats are gone, we should ADD ANOTHER REPUBLICAN SEAT to the map! Texans demand – and deserve – bold action!”
Later that day, he announced an upcoming appearance on television: “Joining @OANN at 12:45pm CT. Tune in!” (August 6, 2025).
Harrison also shared a media mention highlighting his defense of Texas’s redistricting efforts. On August 6, 2025, he posted: “From @theblaze: ‘Texas state Rep. Brian Harrison (R-Midlothian) defended his state’s efforts to redraw its congressional map during an interview with CNN on Monday and managed to get the network to show how Democrats in other states have egregious examples of gerrymandering.”
Harrison has represented Texas’s 10th House district since being elected in 2021 following Jake Ellzey’s departure from the seat.
