David Cook, a Republican member of the Texas State House, announced a series of endorsements for his campaign for Senate District 22 through social media posts made on February 5 and 6, 2026.
On February 5, Cook expressed appreciation for local law enforcement support, stating: “I’m honored to have the endorsement of the McLennan County Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Association in my race for Senate District 22. I’m proud to stand with these Men and Women, who answer the call to protect our neighborhoods, our families, and our Texas way of life every day!”
Later that same day, he shared gratitude for another endorsement: “I’m grateful to have the support of the Tarrant County Patriots PAC. Thank you!”
On February 6, Cook highlighted discussions with members of a prominent agricultural group: “Great conversations with the @TexasFarmBureau AGFUND CFB Board Members in Waco today! I’m humbled to have the backing of our state’s largest organization of over 500,000 farming, ranching, and rural member-families. #SD22”
Cook was elected to represent Texas’s 96th House district in 2021 after succeeding Bill Zedler. He is running as a Republican candidate for Senate District 22.
