David Cook, a member of the Texas State House, shared updates on legislative and community events in Texas through a series of posts on April 10, 2026.

In one post from that day, Cook described his participation in a legislative panel focused on water resources. He wrote, “Great to join a panel of my colleagues at the @NacChamber Lone Star Legislative Summit to talk about the future of water in Texas. Data centers in Texas are growing at a rapid clip and we as legislators must step up to protect our communities’ precious water and energy” (April 10, 2026).

Later the same day, Cook promoted local tourism by highlighting a new state park: “Looking for a staycation? Look no further than our own backyard — the new Palo Pinto Mountains State Park in Strawn. This is the first new state park to open in over two decades!” (April 10, 2026).

Cook also reflected on his visit to Stephen F. Austin State University during the Lone Star Legislative Summit. He stated, “Good to be back on campus at @SFASU for the Lone Star Legislative Summit! Great conversation yesterday evening with Lt. Gov. @DanPatrick, @dennisquaidwill and “Peaches” at the Distinguished Lecture Series. Appreciate the warm welcome from @NacChamber! #AxeEmJacks” (April 10, 2026).

David Cook is a Republican who was elected to represent Texas’s 96th House district in 2021, succeeding Bill Zedler.
