David Cook, a member of the Texas State House, shared several updates on his social media account on March 25, 2026. Cook highlighted political support within his party and commemorated National Medal of Honor Day by honoring local heroes.
In a post from March 25, Cook wrote: “Big night in Waco last night! I was proud to join Gov. @GregAbbott_TX, Speaker @Burrows4TX, and my House colleagues to support Rep. @PatrickJCurry1’s campaign for Texas House District 56. Pat will continue to be a strong, Conservative voice for McLennan County! #txlege https://t.co/rOuhIQ6MSK”.
Later that day, Cook marked National Medal of Honor Day with another message: “Today is National Medal of Honor Day, and Senate District 22 proudly remembers two of our own: Pfc. Daniel R. Edwards and Lt. Col. George Andrew Davis Jr., whose courage in the trenches of WWI and the skies over Korea earned them our Nation’s Highest Decoration for Valor.”
He followed up by encouraging Texans to learn more about these recipients: “I encourage every Texan to learn more about their stories and visit the National @MohMuseum in Arlington, where the legacy of heroes like Pfc. Daniel R. Edwards and Lt. Col. George Andrew Davis Jr., is preserved and shared with future generations: https://t.co/6sZXmmkRpf”.
David Cook has served as a Republican representative for Texas’s 96th House district since his election in 2021, succeeding Bill Zedler.
