David Cook, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 96th district since 2021, shared updates on community events and resources through his Twitter account in late February 2026.
On February 22, Cook posted about participating in a local event: “Had a blast at the @WestKiwanis Club of West’s Chili & Stew Supper with Rep. @PeteSessions, Rep. @PatrickJCurry1, and Earl Itrich earlier this week. Coming together to support local scholarships, youth programs, and families in need over chili and live music makes for a great https://t.co/gwmnHWDiaG”.
The following day, on February 23, he highlighted another charitable gathering: “Tonya and I had a wonderful time at the Ellis County Dancing with the Stars event, benefitting @TBHCFosterAdopt. We were blessed to see so many friends, old and new, and to cheer on Dan and Cathy Altman as they blew past their personal goal of raising $50k and danced their hearts https://t.co/DUjIKUKUFE”.
Later that same day, Cook provided information for voters: “Find your polling place here: https://t.co/mMTqKMaXZw”.
Cook has served in the Texas State House since replacing Bill Zedler in 2021.
