David Cook, a Republican and current member of the Texas State House, shared several updates on his campaign for Senate District 22 through his social media posts on February 20, 2026.
In one post, Cook acknowledged the commitment required by first responders and expressed gratitude for their support: “It takes courage and sacrifice to serve as a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or first responder serving our communities. I’m honored that these organizations have put their faith in me to deliver for Senate District 22. #txlege” (posted February 20, 2026).
Later that day, Cook announced an endorsement from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility. He stated: “I’m grateful to earn the endorsement of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility (@Texas_Taxpayers) in our race for Senate District 22. As your next State Senator, I will continue to fight for lower property taxes, cutting wasteful government spending, and creating stronger” (posted February 20, 2026).
Cook also described his participation at a local candidate forum hosted by Cross Timbers Republican Women in Stephenville. He wrote: “Lively conversations with Cross Timbers Republican Women in Stephenville at their candidate forum at Bosque River Taphouse. David Cook was elected to the Texas State House in 2021 representing the state’s 96th House district after replacing former representative Bill Zedler.
