David Cook, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 96th district since 2021, has recently shared several updates and endorsements related to his campaign for Senate District 22 on his Twitter account.
On July 28, 2025, Cook expressed appreciation for support from a fellow legislator: “I’m grateful for the endorsement of @RepRichardHayes, a principled conservative, respected legislator, and former parliamentarian for the Republican Party of Texas. His support is a strong vote of confidence in my mission to deliver for SD 22. #txlege https://t.co/8bT2nkpHMj”.
The following day, on July 29, he publicly acknowledged two individuals for their work: “Well done Chaplain Rich Stoglin and Chairman @cvasut !! https://t.co/6tQElfEdb8”.
Later that same day, Cook highlighted another endorsement and legislative achievement: “I’m grateful to have the endorsement of Rep. @AndyHopperTX in my race for SD22. It was an honor to work alongside him to pass HB 2674 this session, which prohibits government regulation of home school programs. Together, we ensured that families who choose to home school are free https://t.co/OjcYPGcKUj”.
Cook has served in the Texas State House since being elected in 2021, succeeding Bill Zedler as representative of District 96.
