David Cook, a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2021 to represent the 96th House district, recently posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account regarding legislative recognitions and political developments.
On April 30, Cook wrote about presenting a Texas House Resolution to Mrs. Linda Cluck in memory of former Arlington Mayor Dr. Robert Cluck. In his post, he stated: “On Tuesday, Team Cook was honored to present a Texas House Resolution from the Arlington delegation to Mrs. Linda Cluck, in memory of former Arlington Mayor Dr. Robert Cluck. His decades of public service, both as a Physician and Mayor, helped shape Arlington into the community” (April 30, 2026).
The following day, Cook congratulated Gina Long on her judicial appointment. He posted: “Congratulations to Gina Long on her appointment as Judge of the 170th Judicial District Court.
On May 3, Cook addressed upcoming legislative priorities tied to election outcomes: “Republican victories at the ballot box will deliver strong, Conservative legislation when we return to the Capitol next session! #txlege” (May 3, 2026).
Cook succeeded Bill Zedler as state representative for District 96 after being elected in 2021.
