The following day, as Texans headed to the polls for statewide elections, Cook encouraged voter participation with a message: “Election Day is here, Texas. On May 27, after election results were announced in several races across Texas—including the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate—Cook posted congratulations to Ken Paxton: “Congratulations to @KenPaxtonTX on a resounding victory in the race for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate! Cook has served as state representative since replacing Bill Zedler in 2021 as a Republican legislator.
