David Cook, a member of the Texas State House representing the 96th district, has recently shared updates on his official social media account regarding property tax relief, support for veterans and first responders, and remembrance of Pearl Harbor.
On December 6, 2025, Cook posted about a recent event in Fort Worth: “Honored to welcome Gov. @GregAbbott_TX to Fort Worth yesterday for the unveiling of his five-point plan to provide significant property tax relief for hardworking Texans. Great to also be with Acting Comptroller @KHancock4TX and my House colleagues @olcott4texas,” he wrote.
Later that day, Cook highlighted his involvement with a local nonprofit supporting veterans and law enforcement: “I was honored to sponsor a team of our local law enforcement officers at the North Texas Patriot Anglers Shotgun Shoot this week. I’m proud to stand with Patriot Anglers, a volunteer-driven nonprofit that gives our Veterans and First Responders a chance to find healing, recovery,” he said.
On December 7, 2025, Cook marked the anniversary of Pearl Harbor by posting: “A day which will live in infamy.” Today, we remember the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and thank the Greatest Generation for stepping up to save the world from tyranny.”
David Cook is a Republican who began serving in the Texas State House in 2021 after being elected to represent District 96. He succeeded Bill Zedler as state representative.
