David Cook, a member of the Texas State House, has recently addressed historical and local issues through his social media posts.

On March 20, 2026, Cook highlighted a key moment in American political history by noting, “Little do many know that on March 20, 1854, the Republican Party was established in Ripon, Wisconsin, at the Little White Schoolhouse. Built on an anti-slavery movement, the GOP became a bulwark for freedom, believing that the principles in America’s founding documents are worth https://t.co/TU11GnB40N”.

Later that day, he turned attention to regional concerns regarding water resources. On March 20, 2026, Cook stated, “Water security is one of the top issues I’ve heard in McLennan County, while on the campaign trail, and the Flat Creek Water Reuse Project will go a long way to meeting the needs of residents. Waco is blessed to have great leaders like Congressman @PeteSessions, Mayor Jim https://t.co/6yjJiMKguu”.

On March 22, 2026, Cook posted a biblical quotation: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 https://t.co/sXrZAL0XcP.

David Cook was elected as a Republican to represent Texas’ 96th House district in 2021. He succeeded Bill Zedler as state representative.
