David Cook, a member of the Texas State House representing the 96th district, shared updates on his recent activities and personal life through several posts on X (formerly Twitter) in mid-February 2026.

On February 13, Cook described his participation in local political events: “We were on the road again Tuesday night! I started the evening with the Ellis County Republican Women and finished the night in Whitney with a Hill County Meet ’N Greet. I am grateful for the strong conservative women and grassroots leaders who show up, ask the hard questions,” he wrote.

The following day, February 14, Cook posted a message dedicated to his wife: “Happy Valentine’s Day to my beautiful bride, @TonyaDCook! I am grateful for her love and support today and everyday. “

Later that same day, Cook made another brief post: “That’ll play. #SicEm”
