David Cook, a member of the Texas State House representing the 96th district, posted several messages on his social media accounts between March 29 and March 30, 2026. His posts highlighted religious observance, recognition of veterans, and local youth achievements.
On March 29, Cook marked Palm Sunday with a religious message. He wrote: “Have a blessed Palm Sunday. ‘Hosanna! He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One—the King of Israel!’ – John 12:13”.
Later that day, he paid tribute to those who served in the Vietnam War. In his post dated March 29, he stated: “Today we honor the brave men and women who served our country during the Vietnam War. They answered the call, endured unimaginable hardship, and fought for the freedoms we hold dear. Too many returned home without the gratitude they deserved. We won’t forget their sacrifice.”
The following day, Cook celebrated young athletes from Moody participating in youth rodeo competitions. On March 30 he said: “Excited to see two young riders from Moody stepping up to represent Team USA and Central Texas in youth rodeo. This is what Texas is all about—hard work, grit, and neighbors showing up for one another.”
Cook has represented Texas’s 96th House district since being elected as a Republican in 2021 after succeeding Bill Zedler.
