City of Plano issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.
The Plano Food Safety Advisory Committee (FSAC) is pleased to announce its first annual Food Safety Summit.
The Summit will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020, at the Sockwell Center, 6301 Chapel Hill Blvd. It will cover a variety of presentations including food waste, common health code violations, menu labeling and food allergens.
The purpose of the Summit is to bring the food industry and health department officials together in one place in an effort to create a stronger relationship between the two entities, as well as providing presentations on topics of interest to industry. This event will be free of charge to attendees, but registration is required.
