City Of Irving issued the following announcement on April 28.
The City of Irving will begin reopening limited city facilities under Governor Abbott’s Phase 1 Reopening Texas Order. The city is following all guidelines and health protocols included in the governor’s report, as well as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendations for social distancing, disinfection and hand hygiene. With the health and safety of employees and residents in mind, the following facilities will reopen with the corresponding dates.
IRVING GOLF CLUB – REOPENS MAY 1
The Irving Golf Club, 2000 E. Shady Grove Road, will reopen May 1. Golfers should adhere to the facility’s social distancing and sanitizing protocols. The Irving Golf Club is located just off the West fork of the Trinity River. The par 71 golf course includes multiple teeing areas, and offers players an opportunity to test their skills while enjoying the downtown Dallas skyline.
HUNTER FERRELL LANDFILL – REOPENS MAY 4
On May 4, the Hunter Ferrell Landfill, 110 E. Hunter Ferrell Road, will reopen all landfill operations to the public. Operations include accepting waste, brush and recycling drop off, as well as disposal of tires and metal. The landfill hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Visitors are asked to pay with a credit card, wear a face covering and maintain a social distance from one another.
IRVING PUBLIC LIBRARY – LIMITED SERVICES AVAILABLE MAY 6
Effective May 6, drive-thru window service reopens at the South Irving Library, 601 Schulze Dr., and Valley Ranch Library, 401 Cimarron Trail. Additionally, the West Irving Library, 4444 W. Rochelle Road, will provide curbside delivery service. The hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and closed Sunday. The East Library and Learning Center will remain closed.
