The Tarrant County Commissioners Court has implemented the Tarrant County Small Business Assistance Grant Program, a program designed to assist small businesses that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding for the $30 million program is provided via the CARES Act, with $6 million of the total fund to be allocated to businesses that are at least 51% minority-, woman- or veteran-owned, according to a news release from the city of Arlington.

Qualifying businesses are eligible for a one-time reimbursement of up to $10,000 to be used for payroll, rent, mortgage, utility expenses, PPE costs, and other business-related expenses as considered by the CARES Act. Eligible applicants must be a for-profit business located within Tarrant County but outside the city of Fort Worth, operating as of Jan. 1 with 25 or fewer full-time employees.

Applicants can complete applications online at Tarrant County's public website.
