City Of Irving issued the following announcement on July 29.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will perform maintenance on the eastbound State Highway 183 (SH 183) bridge over the Trinity River in Irving from 9 p.m., Friday, July 31 until 11:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, weather permitting. During this time, the following main lane closures will be in place:
- Traffic on eastbound SH 114 will take the Regal Row Parkway exit and continue along the frontage road to the next highway entrance.
- Traffic on eastbound SH 183 will be reduced to one lane just east of Spur 482. Traffic will be in this configuration for approximately 1 mile.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and seek alternate routes when possible. Message boards will be in place to alert drivers and direct traffic. For information about these road closures and others, visit www.DriveTexas.org.
