A partnership between the Fort Worth ISD and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County (WSTC) will offer recent graduates job opportunities in the area.

“This is an opportunity for young adults to explore all the exciting, in-demand career opportunities available to them in the DFW region,” Judy McDonald, executive director of WSTC, said in a press release. “Bringing our resources together with Fort Worth ISD is a win for our future workforce and will allow us to focus on providing a competitive advantage for this group to network with some of the top employers and enhance their job skills so they are ready to climb that career pathway to success... I know we have talent in our area that businesses and industry count on. We look forward to working with Fort Worth ISD to connect that talent to the employers in the DFW area.”

Workforce Solutions will be linking training opportunities to these graduates to help them find jobs. The partnership will also be building these opportunities for the students as they transition from school to work.

“This partnership provides a solid bridge between high school and workforce for our graduating seniors. We are excited to see the impact that the Rise Up program will have on our young adults and Fort Worth community," Daphne Rickard, executive director of Fort Worth ISD's Career and Technical Education Department, said.
