CITY OF CROWLEY: NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Crowley began a process to update the city’s zoning and development regulations in the fall of 2020. As part of this process, the zoning district categories and zoning map are being updated, too. The next step is a public hearing on the proposed new comprehensive zoning ordinance.
The City of Crowley Planning & Zoning Commission and the City of Crowley City Council will hold a joint public hearing to consider adopting a new comprehensive zoning ordinance and zoning map on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, located at 201 E Main St, Crowley, Tarrant County, Texas 76036, as described below.
- A copy of the proposed comprehensive zoning ordinance is available for review at the Crowley public library and at the Permits Department in City Hall. It is also available online at the City of Crowley Community Development webpage.
- The draft is currently being updated in response to comments from the Planning & Zoning Commission, the City Council, and the public. An updated version of the draft will be posted online at least 72 hours before the public hearing.

An ordinance of the City of Crowley, Texas, amending and readopting chapter 106 “zoning” of the Crowley code of ordinances in its entirety, the comprehensive zoning ordinance; establishing zoning districts; regulating and restricting the location and use of buildings, structures and land for trade, industry, residence, or other purposes, the height, number of stories, and size of buildings and other structures, the size of yards and other open spaces, the density of population, the erection, construction, reconstruction, alternation, repair and use of buildings, structures and land within such districts; providing for the regulation of nonconforming uses; adopting an official zoning map; providing that this ordinance shall be cumulative of all ordinances; providing a severability clause; providing a savings clause; providing a penalty clause; providing for publication in the official newspaper; and providing an effective date.
Interested persons are encouraged to attend the public hearing to offer public comments or provide written comments prior to the meeting to the Community Development Office, 201 E Main St, Crowley, Texas 76036.
