There were 1,212 students enrolled in Maypearl ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.8% of them were boys, and 44.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 70.1% of the Maypearl ISD total enrollment.

Maypearl ISD roughly covers schools within Ellis County with its main office in Maypearl.

Among the four schools in Maypearl ISD, Maypearl High School recorded the highest enrollment of 363 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
