There were two Pacific Islander students enrolled in Life School District in the 2022-23 school year, 100% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Life School District welcomed 5,498 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Life School District roughly covers schools within Dallas County and has a main office in Red Oak.

Among the eight schools in Life School District, Life School Oak Cliff recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of one student.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
