For the first time in the 2025-26 season, three members of the TCU equestrian team have been named Big 12 Riders of the Month, according to an announcement from the conference.
Lex Lipacis was recognized in Fences, while Piper Keller and Cassie Hacking received honors on the Western side. This marks Hacking’s third time receiving a Big 12 Rider of the Month award as a freshman. For both Lipacis and Keller, this is their first time earning such recognition.
During February, TCU recorded a 3-2 overall record with wins against No. 10 South Dakota State, Delaware State, and No. 8 Fresno State.
Lipacis achieved a 4-1 record for the month, including two victories against Big 12 opponents. She earned two Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) awards in meets versus ranked teams. “The senior opened her month taking two wins against No. 10 South Dakota State and Delaware State, including a road MOP against the Jackrabbits. After falling by just one point to the MOP earner on the road to No. 6 Oklahoma State, she bounced back with a victory on the road against Baylor. In TCU’s lone home meet of the season, she posted a nine-point victory to earn MOP accolades against No. 8 Fresno State.”
Keller went 4-1 during February in Horsemanship, posting victories over ranked opponents and securing an MOP award as well. “The freshman opened up her month with wins at No. 10 South Dakota State and against Delaware State on a neutral. She followed that up with a stellar road performance against No. 6 Oklahoma State. To close out her month, she posted her best performance, earning a score of 76.25 to win against No. 8 Fresno State.”
Hacking completed an undefeated month at 4-0 with two performances scoring above seventy points each. “She opened the month with a road win over No. 10 South Dakota State by just 0.5 points. Followed that up with another road win against No. 6 Oklahoma State, this time by just 0.25 points. Another 0.25-point victory came against Baylor on the road, and she closed out her week with a one-point victory against No. 8 Fresno State to finish off her undefeated month.”
