City Of Dallas issued the following announcement on Nov. 4.
If you’re planning to purchase a home in Dallas, consider applying to the Dallas Homebuyer Assistance Program (DHAP). This program helps qualified buyers purchase a home within Dallas city limits. The average amount of assistance awarded is around $30,000 and is based on need.
Potential applicants are encouraged to attend a Homebuyer Education Course through one of the DHAP and HUD-approved education providers. The applicant and household members must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents with a valid social security card. Applicants must be employed for six consecutive months before applying.
The goal of the Dallas Homebuyers Assistance Program is to help families obtain generational wealth and equity through homeownership.
