If you would like more information about the program or would like to visit with companies who are currently hiring, Burleson Works will host a job expo in the spring of 2022 at the Burleson Recreation Center, 550 NW Summercrest Blvd. A date for the event will be announced soon. Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resume and can attend the event for free.

Burleson Economic Development team began the program in 2017 to assist both new businesses that are locating to Burleson and the community’s already vibrant industrial base attract a skilled workforce.

The program surveys Burleson businesses and determines what positions will be vacant in the upcoming 12-to-24 months. Scholarships will be provided to applicants based on the specific needs of the businesses. Local companies will have an opportunity to interview the applicants before the scholarship is awarded. If selected, the applicant will begin training through one of the program’s educational partners.

Educational partners include Hill College, Tarrant County College, Texas State Technical College and the University of Texas at Arlington. Once the courses are complete, the scholarship recipient will know exactly where they will be employed, at a company right here in Burleson.
