This is a moment of mixed emotions, as we are all glad to see COVID calming and for life to return to normal. We also remain aware of the lives lost and impacted by this virus.
The City of Ferris also stands proud in this moment. Due to our partnership with MDLab and the support of staff, Ellis County, Ellis County Emergency Management, local hospitals, elected officials, and more, we were able to treat over 8,000 individuals, making us #1 in the State of Texas for the number of individuals treated. The mobilization of teams to treat the home bound also saw over 500 patients treated.
The incredible group of people who came together to serve the community proved that success can be achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination. Ferris showed why it really is Distinct by Design.
