Last Monday was our new public works director’s first day on the job. And what a crazy week Joe had! Joe comes to us from the City of Italy where he served as the Assistant Public Works Director. We are grateful to have Joe on staff and look forward to the expertise he will bring.
One item tasked to him during the first week was to do a quick inventory on road conditions and come up with a game plan to start a solid street maintenance program. He promptly ordered materials to get started on needed repairs. These materials were delivered today!
You will see a crew start patching tomorrow. On Wednesday of this week we will allocate two full crews to patching. Going forward we are going to dedicate one crew, two days a week, to street maintenance. Larger repairs will be addressed on a case by case basis.
